The rule: one bonus per exchange, unlimited exchanges
Every exchange enforces a one-promo-per-account policy. Trying to claim a second welcome bonus on the same exchange triggers KYC duplicate detection and the bonus is clawed back. But the cross-exchange dimension is wide open — Coinbase doesn't know what you've claimed on Bitget, and they have no reason to care.
The stacking strategy this guide describes is fully legitimate and explicitly within each platform's terms of service. You're not gaming any single platform; you're using each platform as designed.
The recommended 4-exchange stack
Our editorial team has tested this combination repeatedly through 2025–2026. Each exchange offers a different reward type and a different regulatory footprint:
- Coinbase — $10 in BTC. Simple, withdrawable, US-licensed. The easiest first stake.
- CEX.IO — Up to 1,000 USDC welcome stack + Mystery Box. US-licensed; the largest regulated bonus.
- OKX (non-US) or Kraken (US-friendly alternative) — Mystery Box rewards, withdrawable.
- Bitget (non-US) — 20% lifetime fee discount + Mystery Box voucher.
For US users, swap OKX for Kraken ($75 referral) and Bitget for Gemini ($15 in BTC). The total payout is similar.
Step-by-step: the 2-hour workflow
- Hour 1 — Coinbase + CEX.IO. Open Coinbase first (smoothest KYC), deposit $25, place a $100 trade. $10 BTC bonus credits within 7 days. Then open CEX.IO via a referral link, complete KYC (50 USDC bonus), deposit $50 (50 USDC bonus), make one spot trade (100 USDC bonus). Mystery Box credits within 7 business days. Running total: $10 BTC + 200 USDC + Mystery Box.
- Hour 2 — OKX/Kraken + Bitget/Gemini. Open OKX (non-US) or Kraken (US): for OKX, complete KYC (Mystery Box 1), deposit 50 USDT (Mystery Box 2). For Kraken: fiat deposit, trade $100 in non-stablecoin, $20+ BTC credits within 15 days. Then Bitget (non-US) or Gemini (US): KYC, deposit, Mystery Box / cash bonus.
- Hour 3+ — extract. Each Mystery Box reward is immediately withdrawable. Cash bonuses settle within 7 days. CEX.IO voucher converts to withdrawable USDC as you trade, but the Mystery Box is immediate.
Realistic total in our 2026 tests
From four parallel sign-ups in April 2026:
- Coinbase: $10 BTC
- CEX.IO: 200 USDC welcome + $4.40 Mystery Box (DOGE) = ~$204
- OKX: $8 + $11 = $19 (two Mystery Boxes)
- Bitget: $50 USDT voucher Mystery Box (extracted as ~$35 real USDT via Copy Trading)
Total realistic payout: ~$268 in withdrawable crypto, plus a 20% lifetime fee discount on Bitget. Time invested: roughly 2 hours including all KYC waits.
What NOT to do
- Don't try to open multiple accounts on the same exchange. Different email, different name — KYC duplicate detection catches it. Bonuses clawed back; sometimes the account is closed entirely.
- Don't deposit more than you can afford to keep on the exchanges. Some bonuses require deposits; some don't. Where a deposit is required, the funds remain yours, but they're held in the exchange's custody until you withdraw. Don't move life savings.
- Don't farm bonuses on platforms with poor reputations. Some offshore exchanges advertise large bonuses but make withdrawals difficult. Stick with the regulated tier (Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, CEX.IO) and the major offshore platforms with strong track records (Binance, OKX, Bitget, KuCoin).
Tax implications
In most jurisdictions, welcome bonuses are taxable as ordinary income at fair market value on the day of receipt. Mystery Box payouts of $5–$50 are unlikely to materially affect tax bills but are technically reportable. Tools like Koinly and CoinTracker pull bonus credits automatically.
The CEX.IO bonus is the foundation
Of the four bonuses, CEX.IO's is the largest and most useful for US users. Up to 1,000 USDC in welcome credit + a guaranteed Mystery Box, all under US-state money-transmitter licensing. Start there.

Frequently asked questions
Is stacking crypto bonuses legal?
Yes — across different exchanges, completely legitimate. Each exchange's terms allow one bonus per account; nothing prohibits claiming bonuses on different exchanges. The strategy is explicitly designed for cross-exchange stacking by the affiliate ecosystem.
Can I lose money trying to stack bonuses?
If you only claim deposit-not-required bonuses (Mystery Boxes, Learn & Earn) you can't lose money — the worst case is zero gain. Bonuses with deposit requirements need real capital; you keep the deposit, but you've parked it on the exchange for the qualifying period.
Do I need KYC for every exchange?
Yes — every regulated exchange requires KYC for the welcome bonus. KYC is the duplicate-detection mechanism. Different KYC documents (passport on one, driver's licence on another) doesn't help; the underlying ID number is matched.
How long does it take to stack 4 bonuses?
Active time: about 2 hours. Total elapsed time including KYC approvals and trade settlements: 24–48 hours. Mystery Box payouts within 7 business days; full cash bonuses within 15–30 days.
